So here you find a placeholder post for fannish music links (and maybe some general mixes too if anyone expresses an interest...for instance, I have definitely got to upload my serial killer folders one of these days. *hearts*). You'll also find links to whatever posts I've made in the past regarding some of the music in the folders below, but the posts are not current or even complete, so don't bother trying to navigate by them. The folder links below, however, are in full working order.
And they're getting added to whenever I get a chance, but I won't be making regular update posts when I do add to them, because otherwise I'll be spamming the hell out of you. Uh, I've got a lot of music. And it's seriously unorganized.
The problem at the moment, you see, is that I have four externals, four sets of playlists, and...a metric ton of sticky notes and dogeared pages in outline notebooks filled with lists of song titles and who I think they're just perfect for...if I would ever get around to actually sorting them into the right folders. (Which is why I bought an external just for mix organizing, and have I compiled everything onto it yet? Why noooooooo....) So yeah, it's going to take me a while to get everything loaded. In the meantime, feel free to stop in at any time and see if there's anything new, because like I said, this is a work in progress, and not nearly as high-priority as getting more fic written. *hearts*

A/N: Erm...the story that originally wanted to be written for this prompt was huge. Huge. So I compromised and wrote this instead, but I still want to do the other one when I get a chance. *sheepish* Yeah, I'm weird. Anyway, this is technically a crossover with Vagrant Story and opens in Leá Monde (the Iron Maiden B3, to be exact), but gameplay isn't required. (And sorry it's so rough...I swear I'll clean it up when I wake up!) Well, it's still sort of rough, but I can fix it up more before I archive it, yeah, that's the ticket....

So! I have Thai coconut curry soup and a ginormous brick of cornbread. I have the better part of an outline for the Seph/Riku fic, and a ride to work tomorrow who's already planning to stop for coffee. I have an energy drink around here somewhere, some 500 Mile Chai ready to be brewed, and a 5-day weekend that starts at 4PM tomorrow. And sometime tonight, I'm going to have an awesome calendar telling me exactly how fast I'm going to need to write to make December the Merry Month of Obsession. (And I did have a bottle of Chrysanthemum tea, but I drank it already. Aww.) Also? The Dream Team is already giving me Good Omens dreams. Just sayin'.

You know, I really don't feel as if I have enough fandoms. I think I would quite like a few more. Possibly starting with Good Omens. *hearts*
Well, I mean, yeah. It's easier to finish a book than a game, after all, especially with my rabid leveling habits. (And I'm really not certain now what the big deal was re: being able to get Tired on the night before full moons in FES...as long as you take two seconds to sneak up on the Shadows instead of running at them headlong, you've really got nothing to worry about. Although it's really embarrassing when you miss the sneak, get knocked down, and are too tired to get up again, snerk....) Still...here I am, it's only 7/6, and I've already put 52 hours in. Nooooo end in sight. (But I do have some very pretty Personas. OMG, Naga. And, um, is..."that" just a trend in Devil Personas? Because I can already tell by the still-dark outline that Incubus is going to have me howling, but dude, Raksasha is fairly emphatic himself. Wahahahahahaa.)
And you know, one of these days I'm going to have to go about collecting the English volumes of FMA, because I really do sort of miss those guys sometimes. I just want to know what travesties I'm committing against canon, and don't feel quite right about writing in the fandom without. Only I'm terribly behind on my reading.
....Also I'm procrastinating on my writing. Bad, Coyo. Baaad. *whimpers* But! Only two more days until the prompts for no_true_pair go out, and I can't waaaaaait! *sparkles* If you haven't signed up, now would be a good time to do so! It's going to be fuuuuun! *more sparkles, and a pinch of glitter*
And. And I wish there was a multi-fandom compendium for xeno fic. Damn it. Or what about a comm--is there one? Somebody here has to know, surely. *looks at you expectantly* I mean, either that or I can just go play DMC1 agagin and perv like mad on the lizardy digging things (so! pretty! ...and flexible!), but yeah. Link list. Something. I keep feeling that I should put one together, but I'm usually either too busy or too lazy (direct consequence of being too busy for too long) to go looking myself.
Oh god, and I have to go write nooooooow! *runs off guiltily to do so*
EDIT: Oh! And! Early New Year's Resolution! I resolve to have my mix folders (read: that separate external I bought just for the occasion and have barely touched) organized enough so that, by next year's NaNo, I can take requests for fic-writing soundtracks! Like..."Hey, Coyo...I'm writing a cyberpunk AU with robox smex and terribly meaningful views of the city at night, and I need something to listen to." "Oh! Then you need "Wires" and "Help! Help!" Let me get that for you!" *hearts* It's just a thought.

So, pretty much the only thing I've done this weekend is play Persona 3 in a vague attempt to take my mind off the dentist appointment I had this afternoon (which turned out to be much less painful than I expected, even if the new dentist isn't quite as good as the one I had who retired. *sigh*). I'm not terribly worried about my deadlines, though--I will get caught up! And things will be posted on time! *fist in air* ...Mostly because I've decided the two YnM fis I've got coming up are damned well going to be PWPs and short, and no excessive plottiness is allowed. Damn it. *glares at muses* (The KH one I'm just going to play by ear, because Seph often surprises me with his willingness to cooperate if it means he can talk me out of things more embarrassing, and Riku is...uh, Riku. And I'm certainly not going to argue with the both of them.)

Dear Dream Team,
You know I love you, and I love your slashy dreams. FF7? You're too good to me. Persona 3? That's so sweet of you. If you give them to me one at a time. But not both at once. Especially if you're going to make them post-apocalyptic, and turn Sephiroth into some sort of Vampire D-style wandering Shadow-hunter. I mean, my god. Please to not be breaking my brain, as I still need it to write. Or so they tell me.

Oh, man. You know, the next time my brain decides to rewrite Crisis Core in my sleep, I really hope it gives me more notice...I'd set aside about six hours and make sure I have something to take notes/record my half-asleep babbling into! It just kept going and going...I'd wake up blearily, go "Huh...it's still going," fall back asleep, fall right back into the same dream, wake up blearily a few scenes later, go "Huh...it's still going," fall back asleep.... I got up to the point where Angeal is casting a long, regretful look back before haring off after Genesis before my alarm went off! Gah. The nice part, though, is that Dream!Angeal turned out to be much, much smarter about the whole thing, which was nice.
ANGEAL: There's something weird going on, and nobody's telling us anything.
SEPHIROTH: Used to it.
ANGEAL: You know what we need? Computer hackers. I'll make some calls.
ZACK: Oh, this is going to be awesome!
SEPHIROTH: I'm not sure you should be encouraging him; next he'll want to stage a coup.
ZACK: Can we?
ANGEAL: You sure I'm the one you should worry about encouraging?
*heaaaaarts* And the hackers! Byers and Langley would have approved! Mind you, I'm pretty sure FF7 is already dystopian enough; I'm not sure it really needed the shades of Big Brother and the politcal/military/environmental commentary/metaphor for our times, but, well, Busy Brain Syndrome. Izza tragedy, innit? *grins*
